I got some really adorable bows and rhinestones to play with this week and I love them! I just applied them with some nail art glue and voilà! Instant awesome lol. Hopefully the bow stays on for at least a day or two. This is my first time using charms or rhinestones so Im not sure how long they typically last. I also tried out a new to me nail polish brand this week called Flower. I have to say I was pretty impressed with the formula and it was opaque in two coats. I’ll definitely be trying more from this brand!
I’ve seen this manicure floating around all over the place and I love it so I wanted to try it out myself. Turns out its super awesome and super easy to do. All you need is a jelly formula polish, a lighter colored polish, and a dotting tool.
These are the polishes I used. Wet n Wild Gyp-Sea Green (jelly), Essie Marshmallow, and Essie Turquoise and Caicos. If you have ever seen or done a jelly sandwich mani its pretty much the same idea without the glitter. Just start with your favorite base coat to help your polish stick to your nails better and prevent staining. I used Orly Bonder base coat.
Then I applied a thin layer of my jelly polish and then I dotted some of the other colors over top. I didn’t do too many at first because I didn’t want it to look over crowded. Then another layer of polish followed by dots and then a top layer of jelly polish. I let the layers dry in between coats and then I applied my top coat. I used Seche Vite quick drying top coat. It gives your nails a glass like shine…super nice. This is the finished product.
I think it looks really cool and there’s endless possibilities to colors and patterns that you can make. I’ve seen it done with flowers instead of dots which looks really nice too. This mani is definitely worth a try even you aren’t really into nail art because it’s so easy to do! Let me know what you think below in the comments and if you’ve tried this and what combinations you used! I’d love to hear from you.
Finally our annual Easter Egg hunt! Taylor and Levi Have a blast hunting eggs at home. Taylor is getting too good for an indoor hunt so next year will be outside. Levi did great and this is his first annual hunt. (This is the last Easter video this year as I promised…) Enjoy!
This was Easter Sunday. We went to Grandma Robbin’s parents house then to Grandma Darla’s house. These kids made out like kings! 5 egg hunts in three days. This is a more personal video that we thought we would share with all of our awesome followers. (Only one more Easter video and we are done I promise. B-) )
